Brandons Cowboy Offspring Top ASHA Yearling Sale

Brandons Cowboy son Rodeo Joe garnered the highest bid at the 2012 ASHA Yearling Sale, which was held on Friday, September 21 in Olds, Alberta at the Megadome.

Selling as Hip 65, Rodeo Joe (Brandons Cowboy-Four Starz Bella) topped the sale with a $24,000 price tag. He was purchased from the Meridian Farms consignment by Willie Wychopen and Walter Moroz.

Brandons Cowboy colt Comes Home First and filly Tap Away rounded out the highest priced yearlings at the sale, both purchased by the J J J Stables. Comes Home First (Brandons Cowboy-Cinderella Cam), Hip 30, was purchased from consignor/breeder Jim Rhodes for $20,000 while Tap Away (Brandons Cowboy-Tapioca Hanover), Hip 46, was purchased for $16,000 from Meridian Farms.

A total of 57 yearlings were sold for a total of $270,500, producing an average price of approximately $4,756.
