Clinton Raceway successfully concluded its 2025, 15-week harness racing season this past weekend, reporting positive growth across wagering, community fundraising and industry support, while also introducing a new accessible grandstand facility.
Clinton Raceway has reported that wagering for the season averaged $67,263 per Sunday program, representing a four per cent increase compared to 2024. The Ontario racetrack noted that this steady year-over-year growth underscores both the track’s popularity with fans and its ongoing commitment to providing a high-quality racing product.
Clinton Raceway also continued its tradition of community engagement. Local groups collectively raised $77,925 through on-site fundraising initiatives during the season, benefitting a wide range of organizations and causes throughout Huron County and beyond. Additionally, purse sponsorships contributed $35,000 to overnight purses, directly supporting horsepeople competing at the Clinton oval.
A key milestone in 2025 was the completion of Clinton Raceway’s new accessible grandstand facility, enhancing the overall spectator experience and ensuring the venue is fully inclusive for all attendees.
“We are very pleased with the results of the 2025 season,” said Ian Fleming, General Manager. “The growth in wagering, the exceptional fundraising totals and the added support for purses all demonstrate the important role Clinton Raceway continues to play within both the harness racing industry and the local community.”
Planning is already underway for the 2026 season, with a continued focus on enhancing the racing experience, strengthening community partnerships and building upon this year’s achievements.
