Jody Jamieson mapped out a beautiful, two-hole trip for Ideation Hanover in her Shes A Great Lady elimination, and the Dave Menary trainee didn’t let it go to waste.
Ideation Hanover fired to the early lead and threw down the opening quarter of :27.2 before taking a backseat to race favourite Treacherous Reign. That filly led through middle splits of :56 and 1:23.4, but she couldn’t seal the deal. Jamieson found clearance with Ideation Hanover and the filly fired home in :27.2 to win by a length over Sylph Hanover in 1:51.2. Rounding out the top five finishers were Queen Of The Pride, Treacherous Reign and St Somewhere.
Sent off at odds of 10-1, the daughter of Bettors Delight-Ideal Weather improved her rookie record to 3-3-2 from eight starts with the win. The lion’s share of the $35,000 purse bumped her bankroll to $151,617.
