Yonkers Raceway's Monday night program featured the $210,566 New York Sires Stakes Bronxville Trot for three-year-old colts and geldings, which was contested as three divisions worth in excess of $69,000 per split

.

The opener, an off-the-card event, saw pocket-sitting Kash N Credit and driver Jason Bartlett get to pace-setting South Jersey Flash by a length in 2:00.1. RC Authority was third. The winner, a son of Credit Winner, was trained by (co-owner) Clint Galbraith for his wife, Barbara, along with Arnold Rothschild.

The first wagering sire stakes event saw America and Jeff Gregory yield to the 2-5 favourite Calchips Brute at the mid-way point before re-emerging from the pocket and nailing that one right on the money. America won by a nose in a career-best 1:58.2, with Credit Blues third.

For America, a Conway Hall colt trained by Richard ‘Nifty’ Norman for co-owners David McDuffee and David Scharf, he paid $5.20 for his fifth win in 18 seasonal starts.

The evening's final state-bred grouping saw 3-10 favourite Russell Hill set sensible fractions, but that did not deter a first-over And Away We Go and driver Andy Miller. In a match race for the final half-mile, And Away We Go stuck his neck out - literally - at the wire in 1:58.2. It was more than five lengths back to Hitontheflipside.

For And Away We Go, a son of Conway Hall trained by Julie Miller for her husband, Andy Miller, and George Brennan, he paid $9.40 for his third victory of the season in nine tries.

New York Sire Stakes action continues at Yonkers Raceway Thursday night with the $181,368 Lew Barasch Trot for two-year-old colts and geldings and the $219,654 Jim Crawford Pace for three-year-old colts and geldings. Friday night features the $178,522 Tuckahoe Pace for two-year-old colts and geldings.
