Little Santamonica and driver Aaron Byron won the $9,000 Fillies and Mares Open II Pace on Friday (September 1) at Tioga Downs.

Little Santamonica ($6.20) charged out of the gate to take the lead, but All Charged Up (Tom Jackson) took over before the first quarter. Little Santamonica re-took the lead as they went by the stands for the first time and the nine-year-old Little Steven mare, who is owned Courtney Crawford and trained by Jordon Hope, never looked back and won in 1:52.3.

K Js Caroline (Jim Taggart Jr.) finished second and Mcace Of Arts (Mike Merton) got third.

Driver Mike Merton won twice on the night -- first with Rockin Desire ($30.40) and then with Empty Gesture ($15.40).

Live racing resumes at Tioga Downs on Saturday (September 2) with a 10-race card starting at 6:50 p.m.
