Reigning New Brunswick Young Guns Driving champion Katie Miller made quick work of her six driving rivals in the opening legs of this year's challenge on Friday at Exhibition Park Raceway.
Her day began by stick handling Connely C C to victory in the first leg in 2:02. Carey Romeo Jr. was second with Full Of Finesse and Andrew Ward rounded out the top three with Blue Man Group.
In the second leg, Miller waited patiently as Doyabelieveinme and Ben Hollingsworth put Mischievous Luck with Dale Spence into the pocket before she moved first over with Man In Pink. With her charge clearing the lead at the third station, Man In Pink opened up to win by five lengths. Spence and Mischievous Luck grabbed the place spot while Jack Panting rallied Allamerican Dazzle up for the show at long odds.

Action continues Monday at Fredericton Raceway with the final two legs. Fredericton also plays host to the Williamson Stakes during a 16-dash card of racing. Post time is 1 p.m.
