Davis Celebrates 3,000th Win

A victory in Friday’s twelfth race at Mohawk Racetrack by claiming mare Got The Munchies gave Bill Davis a memorable career accomplishment

“The Dominator”, as he’s known throughout the industry, celebrated his 3,000th training win when the five-year-old daughter of Camluck tripped the teletimer in 1:52.1 for catch-driver Jody Jamieson.

Davis, who made the move from British Columbia to Ontario in the Spring of 2009, has watched his starters bank in excess of $12 million in earnings while maintaining big numbers in the UDR/UTR categories.

Davis, who was awarded the 2003 O’Brien Award of Horsemanship which recognizes the Standardbred participant who best exemplifies the standard of horsemanship demonstrated by Joe O'Brien, has 5,089 driving victories on his resume and he’s less than $55,000 away from surpassing the $20 million mark in driving earnings for his career.
