The streak reached 12 straight for Judges Discretion Friday evening at Cornerstone Raceway in Yorkton.
The seven-year-old mare won the night's sixth race going away from the pack and winning with a season's best time of 2:00.2, topping Glenn LeDrew and Way Outa Bounds in second, and Oral Fixation and Hugh Woods.
"She had to work coming to the half," said trainer-driver Tyler Redwood, adding he "felt" others were about to make a move, so he had to go to avoid getting boxed in.
Once clear of the pack, Judges Discretion pulled away down the final stretch.
"I wish somebody had stayed with me a little bit more. If we were challenged down the stretch...I'm pretty sure we'd have broke the two-minute barrier."
As it was, the 2:00.2 was the best time for Judges Discretion in the time Redwood has worked with the mare.
Redwood also took the Farrell Agencies Ltd. Feature in race seven with Red Star Best in 2:01.2, over Richard Remillard with Oblivious Boy and LeDrew with Ignite The Spark.
Redwood said Red Star Best "was just good" right from the start of the race. "He just launched out of there."
It helped the horse is a veteran and knows what it takes on the track.
"He's 10 years old. He knows the game. He knows what's going on out there," said Redwood.
LeDrew also grabbed a blanket in the Northeastern Seed Company Ltd. Feature with Rain Gauge in 2:03.2, over Remillard with I Kan Dee and Robert Baxter with Simply Dynamite.
"Rain Gauge has been getting a bit better every week," said LeDrew, adding pulling the inside spot helped. "Things finally started going his way."
LeDrew said over the past couple of weeks Rain Gauge was starting to hit his stride, and he said that helps a horse build confidence.
"I really do believe horses braven-up," he said.
In the final race, LeDrew notched his second win of the night with Dynes At The Beach over Redwood with Jomars Undapants and Donald Tracey with Thief On The Run.
"That horse [Dynes At The Beach] is right in where he can do...He's just a classy old horse," said LeDrew. "...They were coming at us before the half, so he definitely earned it."
LeDrew said getting a pair of wins felt pretty good in the midst of a long season.
"It's been a long summer. It's really nice to get into the winner's circle again," he said, adding he felt good for himself, but also for the owners "that have stuck with me" when wins weren't coming.
LeDrew said his summer shows that the quality of racing is pretty good in Saskatchewan.
"The racing's tough here. Every year the horses get tougher," he said, adding the pool of drivers is good too.
