Big Expansion At Cazenovia College

The president of Cazenovia College in New York has announced the formation of the New York State Centre for Equine Business Development at the college, with clinics, workshops and networking. It will be part of Cazenovia’s 243-acre Equine Education Centre, and will educate people in racing as well as equines.

“We are combining the beauty of activities like racing, showing and recreational riding with a business sense that can grow jobs. It’s a great match,” senator Charles Schumer was quoted as saying.

Schumer promised to seek federal funding, as did state senator Dave Valesky for state funds in Albany.

Cazenovia’s president said the centre would collaborate with nearby Morrisville State College, which is raising funds to build an equine rehabilitation and physiology centre to add to its courses in equine training.
