On Sunday, August 21, 2011 the National Capital Region Harness Horse Association, in association with Rideau Carleton Raceway, presented its fourth annual Night of Champions, with all proceeds supporting the Shepherds of Good Hope.

In front of an enormous Rideau Carleton crowd, Todd Budd took home the Coville Cup Senior Division trophy with three wins.

Contender Cody Henry, son of Paul and Linda Henry, capped off the night with three wins in the Coville Cup Junior Division.

As Coville Cup Senior Division champion, Budd will return to Rideau Carleton in early January for a 15-race, head-to-head driver challenge with Darrell Coville.

The night also included the Invitational Inter-Provincial Driving Championship, which took take place over five races. It saw 'Team Montreal' come out on top by one point over 'Team Rideau.'

i find it very unfair that both these boys dont get to go back since they both work very hard in there races ...it would be a very good card to have three battleing for the coville cup and henry to match his brother

I would have like it if there was a little more press on this story since it was about young up and coming drivers. But that being said Way to go Todd.
