The Ottawa Citizen has reported that part of Ottawa City Council's finance committee meeting scheduled for next week will be dedicated to debate on the ongoing gaming-zone issue in the Ottawa area.
The article states that the offices of both Mayor Jim Watson and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne have been in contact over the issue.
The article states that if the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. ultimately decides against approving two gaming zones for the Ottawa area, Council will then discuss how to keep Rideau Carleton Raceway as a 'front runner' for any gaming expansion in the area.
