Gural On Vernon Expansion, Future Gaming

A groundbreaking ceremony for the first of a three-phase expansion took place today at Vernon Downs, and Jeff Gural went on camera to bring horsepeople and race fans up to speed on his vision for the facility and the future of expanded gaming at track

.

A release yesterday by VIP Structures stated that the first phase of the expansion will include a new flexible banquet facility capable of hosting several small gatherings or a single event for up to 400 people, a new exterior patio, a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace, three bars, and a simulcasting room which will feature a 33-foot projection screen.

In terms of what lays ahead in terms of expanded gaming for the New York State racetrack, Gural explained in an interview with WKTV NEWSChannel 2's Gary Liberatore that he has a plan of attack in place for the next coming years.
