Elm Grove Dallas circled the field to take the opening split in a time of 1:59.4 for driver Robert MacInnis and trainer Vance Cameron. The daughter of Rayson Hanover-Mystical Rose was ninth at the quarter pole and was still seventh at the head of the lane, but she used her closing skills to get up for the half-length decision over Southview Whitney. Larshegoes was third.
The moonlighting Cameron co-owns the four-time winner with partner Bob Gordon of Elmsdale, PE. She has banked $17,954 to date.
Run Them Down extended her win streak to three-in-a-row thanks to her 1:58.1 triumph in the second division. The daughter of Largo-First Paysak took over command before the half and kept on rolling en route to posting the driving off decision for trainer Steve Mason and driver Gilles Barrieau. Chris N Tel Arrow was more than four lengths back in second, with Island Quick Cash a distant third.
Downey Stables of Saint John, NB own the seven-time winner, who has picked up six of those wins this year. The lion’s share of the purse bumped her lifetime bankroll to $34,837.
Tammys Little Star earned a career-best clocking of 1:57 in the third affair. The daughter of Western Success-Ima Snortin Too went to the front and never looked back for trainer/driver Jason Hughes, who easily defeated Elleofnxample and Darko.
It was the third win of the season for the homebred, who is owned by Ginette Mercille of Charlottetown and Brian Collings of Mount Stewart, PE. The victory lifted her lifetime earnings to $25,541.
