Trainer Dylan Davis reached a career milestone on Friday night (August 16) when Jins Shark landed in the Hoosier Park winner's circle.

The victory counted as the Delaware horseman's 2,000th career training win.

Jins Shark, the 2-1 favourite in the evening's sixth race, took the lead at the midway mark and held off rivals on both sides -- Backup A and Mr Varsity -- to win the $15,000 claiming pace in 1:51.1. Ricky Macomber Jr. drove the eight-year-old Four Starzzz Shark gelding, who is owned by Howard Taylor and Thomas Lazzaro.

Davis is in the midst of his 14th consecutive million-dollar-plus season and has earned 81 wins so far in 2019. He posted a career-high 183 wins in 2011 and came close to that number again in 2016 with 179 when his stable topped $2.25 million in seasonal earnings.

A pair of $50,000 Indiana Sires Stakes for three-year-old male pacers were won by Rockin Image offspring Little Rocket Man (Trace Tetrick) in 1:49 and Rockie Got Framed (Macomber Jr.) in 1:49.3.
