Reinsman Mike Simons picked up his 3,000th career driving victory at Pocono Downs on Wednesday, August 14.
Simons, a longtime Pocono standout, steered Macs Bad Boy, a horse he owns and who is trained by his longtime racing partner, Gail Wrubel, to a victory in the 14th race on the card for the milestone win.
Simons picked up his first driving win back in 1983. Over the course of his career, Simons has steered his mounts to more than $22-million in purse earnings. He has been a regular among the leaders in the Pocono driving colony for well over two decades.
Along with Standardbred Canada, the entire racing community at Pocono Downs would like to congratulate Simons on his outstanding achievement.
