Infinite Symbol A poured through the Lightning Lane and kicked past the 6-5 favourite, Better Days Ahead, capturing Wednesday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,754 filly and mare conditioned pace.
Better Days Ahead quarter-poled to the point and, with a 29 second-panel breather, looked strong. But when Brady Brown pointed the pocket-sitting Infinite Symbol inside, the 10-year-old daughter of Indomitable Saab-Never Waver Lombo found another gear and downed Better Days Ahead by a length in 1:53.1. Priceless Shadow was a ground-saving third.
Mark Goldberg trains Infinite Symbol A, who now boasts a career bankroll just shy of $300,000, for Curby Stillings.
Aaron Merriman piloted four winners and Brown three on the 12-race card.
Live harness racing at The Meadows continues on Thursday, when the program features a $368.95 carryover in the Pick 5 (Race 9). First post is 12:45 p.m.
