Roy Records Eight Wins At Nouvelle

Driver Louis Philippe Roy enjoyed a productive Sunday afternoon at Nouvelle fair winning eight of the 11 races on the card with just four horses

Roy began his winning crusade in the third race aboard three-year-old Omar Khayam colt Super Bolide for trainer Charles Gaudreault and doubled up in the next race with his own pupil, four-year-old Omar Khayam son Battle Call. He then began a six-race win streak to conclude the card with 13-year-old Big Towner gelding Chilito Hanover and 11-year-old Albert Albert gelding Robert R Robert, both trained by Nathalie Migneault. Each of his winners doubled up on the day in the final four races.

The resident of Mont-Joli, Que. is 13-for-22 on the year with a .712 driving average. Roy has won 18 races lifetime in 51 starts.

Pierre Luc Roy scored a double on the card thanks to a pair of winning performances by three-year-old Shanghai Phil filly Wok N Roll.
