Table Gaming To Hurt Penn. Industry?

According to a report by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Pennsylvania horsemen believe that the implementation of table gaming at state casinos would hurt the horse racing industry.

"Current table-games legislation misguidedly sets different tax rates for slot machines and table games, creating the potential for lost state revenues and declines in funds for the equine industry," National Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association president Joe Santanna was quoted as saying.

The horsemen's group argues table games will be detrimental to the horse-racing industry because it will dilute slots revenue.
