According to a published report, two down under trainers have been told that horses from their stables have tested positive for darbepoetin alpha (DPO), a powerful form of EPO.
An article by The Australian states that Harness Racing Victoria has informed conditioners Jeremy Quinlan and Austin Mifsud that performers from their stables have tested positive for DPO.
The samples were obtained through race-day and out-of-competition testing. The samples were also sent to Hong Kong and Britain for testing.
