Master Of Ceremony won the fastest of four $1,500 divisions of the $3,000 Alpine Claiming Series for horses and geldings at Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre Thursday, August 13 with a 1:58.4 victory for catch-driver Marc Campbell and owner Walter Walker of Inverness, NS.
Master Of Ceremony, an 11-year-old Camluck gelding, picked up its 45th career victory and his fourth in 14 starts this season.
Other divisions of the Alpine Claiming Series went to Ryans Emerson in 1:59.1 for Walter Cheverie and owner Gerald Dunn of Vernon Bridge; Hacks Boy in 1:59.1 for Mike Stevenson and owner Blaine McKenna of Elmsdale, PEI, and Roi de Coeur BG for Walter Cheverie and Les Ecueries Giroux Inc. of Gardien, Que, which was claimed by Ken St. John of Lower Sackville, NS
There were two divisions of the Alpine Series for fillies and mares with Triiage, in rein to Marc Campbell, winning in 1:58.2 for owners Michael and David Tierney of Cornwall in the fastest mile of the 12-dash program.
The other distaff race went to Snortin Three in 1:59 for Jason Hughes and owner Tommy Collings of Mount Stewart.
