A pair of New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies were featured on Wednesday night (Aug. 12) at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
In the $70,300 first division, 1-9 favourite Test Of Faith coasted to a 1:54.2 score, her third win in just four lifetime starts. Jim Marohn Jr. drove the daughter of Art Major and Cannae Cammie for trainer Brett Pelling to a comfortable four-length victory over Heart Of Mine (Scott Zeron) and Spicy Covina (Tyler Buter).
An early break from 1-9 shot Albergita Hanover in the $69,000 second division opened things up for Rightfully Mine. After finishing second to Albergita Hanover in each of her last two tries, the daughter of American Ideal and Leah made every pole a winning one and broke maiden in 1:55.3. Think Of Galaxies (Mark MacDonald) closed sharply for second over Party Queen (Matt Kakaley). Jason Bartlett drove Monique Cohen trainee Rightfully Mine, who paid $15.40 to win.
Live racing at Saratoga Casino Hotel resumes on Monday afternoon (Aug. 17), starting at 12 noon.
