On a beautiful Friday evening, over a fast Hawthorne track, four divisions of leg two of the Incredible Tillie Stakes took place along with a pair of eliminations for three-year-old filly pacers in the Violet Stakes.
The Incredible Tillie is for Illinois-bred two-yea-old filly pacers. The second race on Friday evening was the first of four divisions as Jump Right Up was the heavy favourite at 1-5 for trainer Nelson Willis and driver Todd Warren.
Leaving quickly was A Real Doozie as she covered the opening quarter in :29.1. Razzleme Dazzleme moved first and took over after a half in :57.4. On the far turn, Razzleme Dazzleme was challenged by Jump Right Up through three quarters in 1:27.4. In the lane, Jump Right Up grabbed a brief lead but A Real Doozie came back late for driver Tim Curtin to get up in the shadow of the wire. Jump Right Up held second while Razzleme Dazzleme was third. Final time for the mile was 1:57.3.

Race three was the second division of the Incredible Tillie as Filly Forty was the off time favourite. Making the early lead was Windian as she was tracked by Filly Forty through the quarter in :29.1. First over on the backstretch was Sheadealer, covering the half in :59.2. On the turn, Filly Forty tipped out to challenge Sheadealer through three quarters in 1:29. In the stretch, Filly Forty battled between but Just Doit Queeny was moving best of all in the center of the lane for driver James Lackey to win in 1:58. Windian finished second while C Far rallied for third.

Race four was the third division of the Incredible Tillie as favouritism switched between numerous horses leading to the start as Fox Valley Charliz was sent away as the favourite.
Ashlees Nannah made the top through the quarter in :29.2 and a half in :59 On the far turn, Smiles Ahead moved to take over through three quarters in 1:29.2. The field spread out in the lane with Rousey Ronda and Fox Valley Charliz taking up the battle. At the wire, Fox Valley Charliz prevailed over Rousey Ronda. My Mona Me got up for third.
Fox Valley Charliz was driven by Dale Hiteman and trained by Clark Fairley. She returned $5.00 to win.
The fourth division of the Incredible Tillie went as race six on the Friday card as My Kind of Dance took late action to go off favoured.
Making the lead was Hope Hotspur through the quarter in :30.3. Moving early on the backstretch was Dandys Dududidudu to cover the half in :59.3. On the turn, Princess Sage came to challenge through three quarters in 1:28.2. In the lane, Princess Sage held the lead but My Kind of Dance and Casey Leonard came flying late to get up at the wire. Princess Sage finished second while Hope Hotspur was third. Final time for the mile was 1:56.1.

Race seven was the first of two divisions of the Violet Stakes for three-year-old filly pacers as True to My Heart was a scratch.
Grabbing the lead was Art Angel Baby and Todd Warren through the half in :28.2. After a half in :57.1 Art Angel Baby was headed by favoured Likeafireballshot and battled through the turn. After three quarters in 1:25.3, Art Angel Baby battled on but was challenged by Dakota Sleek on the inside and Burry Me Inthesand on the outside. At the wire, Gary Rath and Burry Me Inthesand were the victors at 23-1. Art Angel Baby held second while Likeafireballshot finished third. Final time was 1:55.2.

The second division of the Violet had a field of seven as Saras Terror scratched. Char N Marg was sent off as the heavy favourite with Casey Leonard driving.
Getting away for the lead was Lexington Lady as Whiskersonkittens pushed her through the quarter in :28.1. Moving early on the backstretch was the 1-5 favourite Char N Marg as she covered the half in :56.3. In the turn, Char N Marg faced the challenge of LKs Nancy Lee through three quarters in 1:26. Roused in the lane, Char N Marg held firm, drawing clear by seven lengths in 1:54.3. LKs Nancy Lee finished second while Ashlee’s Fine Lady was third.

Hawthorne Race Course will offer a $40,000 guaranteed pool on Saturday’s Early Pick 5. The popular 50 cent minimum wager was not hit last night so a carryover pool of $14,316 will be added to tonight’s action. The Early Pick 5 will entail races 1-5 on Saturday’s stakes filled 12 race card which kicks off a 7:35 p.m.
