Details Announced For Inaugural Junior National Driving Championship

Join Standardbred Canada and Clinton Raceway on Saturday, July 25 for the inaugural Junior National Driving Championship (JNDC), an action-packed day celebrating the next generation of Canadian harness racing talent.

The excitement begins at 10 a.m. as Junior National Driving Championship participants arrive at Clinton Raceway, followed by warm-ups at 10:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at 10:45 a.m. in the winner’s circle, where fans will be introduced to the young drivers before they hit the track in pursuit of a national title.

The Junior National Driving Championship heats begin at 11 a.m., showcasing rising stars from across Canada in a fun-filled and competitive atmosphere. Fans can then enjoy a complimentary pizza lunch and meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Racing action resumes at noon before the highly anticipated Junior National Driving Championship final at 12:15 p.m. Awards and closing ceremonies will follow the championship race as Canada’s first-ever Junior National Driving Champion is crowned.

Participants from East Maritime Mini Racing include Ahlea Fudge with Lady Bravo (Willow), Lucas Heffernan-Bailey with Celly, Connor Wilkie with Biscuit and Logan Walker with Onedayoutofmytux (Tux F).

Representing Ontario Young Gunz are Macie Mayhew with Blaze, Siara Jamieson with Looney Tunes, Lucas House with Cinnamon, Chase Graham with Firefly, Noah Steward with Elmo, Owen Steward with Elmo, Jate Lilley with Lightning, Sadie Lilley with Dusty Boots, Eva Wilkins with Ruby, Tenley Rooney with Candy, Adrianna Arbuckle with Hidden Delilah, Rory MacInnis with Queenie and Cami Saftic with Rocky.

Standardbred Canada and Clinton Raceway encourage members, families and racing fans to come out and celebrate youth, community and the bright future of Canadian harness racing.
