More W.N. Reynolds Action At Pocono

Baximum, with Corey Callahan in the sulky, scored a wire-to-wire victory in the opening division of the Scott Frost W.N. Reynolds Memorial at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs

The three-year-old Cantab Hall trotter, trained by Jonas Czernyson, was almost seven lengths ahead of the second-place finisher, Nightime Flash (Mike Simons) with a new life mark of 1:54.2. This marked the second win in seven starts in 2010 for Baximum. Third went to Thors Hammer (Andrew McCarthy).

MMs Lucky Boy (Simons), a 6-1 shot, captured the second division of the Scott Frost with the timer reading 1:55.3. This was the first win this season for MMs Lucky Boy, who was making his seventh start of 2010 for trainer Roland Mallar. Tempest De vie (Frode Fladen), a 60-1 longshot, finished second behind MMs Lucky Boy with third-place going to 2-1 Jetblue Volo, who led most of the way from the eight post.

Final division for the three-year-old colt and gelding trotters was won by 2-5 favourite Red Light (Jim Morrill Jr.). Red Light, trained by Erv Miller, was a winner in 1:56.3. Second in this race was Tough Call (George Napolitano Jr.) with third-place going to Cant Lose (Corey Callahan). The victory was Red Light's sixth win in 10 starts.

Trainer Ron Burke and catch driver Matt Kakaley collected two Lorraine W.N. Reynolds Memorial wins for two-year-old pacing fillies. The victories came with Hasty Pulse (1:53.4) and Foxy Lady (1:56).

Driver Napolitano Jr. also had two Lorraine W.N. Reynolds Memorial victories Wednesday night. He scored victories with MothermayI Hanover in a time of 1:54.3 for trainer and owner Luis Porfilio and McAce Of Arts in 1:53.2. McAce Of Arts, trained by Ross Claridge, had the fastest time of the five divisions for the two-year-old filly pacers.

Show And Tell, trained by Jim Campbell and driven by Jason Bartlett, won the opening division for the two-year-old pacing fillies, stopping the timer in 1:55.4.

Grand Circuit Week continues Saturday night with three-year-old colt and gelding pacers and two-year-old filly trotters.
