With each passing day, trainer Ray Schnittker seems to be getting more and more involved on the promotion and the media end of the standardbred racing industry. Recently, articles on Schnittker from mainstream sources seem to be popping up with regularity

.

The most recent article to appear has come in the Times Herald-Record, which acknowledges Schnittker's love, passion and care for the sport of harness racing.

The article quotes Goshen Historic Track General Manager Chris Tully, who said, "It's very important to have somebody of his calibre here. The fact that he trains here goes hand in hand with promoting harness racing because that's what this facility is really all about.''

Schnittker spends innumerable hours and money giving back to the community and to the sport. He's raised about $80,000 for the kids' scholarship races at Goshen Historic that he helped start last year.

One of Schnittker's good friends, Cameo Hills Farm owner Steve Jones, was quoted in the article as saying, "If he's your friend, you can't have a better one.''
