A pair of Preferred events capped off the Saturday night program at Hiawatha Horse Park with Twin B Rawley and Misty Moonshine earning victories in their respective assignments

In the $9,500 Preferred 2 Trot, trainer-driver Gord McKnight and Twin B Rawley cleared the lead at the quarter pole in :27.3 and cruised through the remaining panels of :57.3 and 1:26.2 before hitting the wire in 1:57.1. Rush N Supreme and Sonny Vale finished second and third.
Twin B Rawley paid $5.80 to win as the popular choice. The seven-year-old son of Malabar Maple-Dashings Dream is owned by Rusty and Deanna Spitzig of Courtright, Ont. He recorded his fourth win in 16 starts this year, which helped bumped his earnings to $23,919. The 26-time winner has banked $307,823 over the course of his career.
Windsun Twister led the field of Preferred 2 pacers through fractions of :26.3, :55.3 and 1:23.4 while Misty Moonshine and trainer-driver Peter Core followed second over cover in the night cap. The roan mare rallied home to nose out pocket-sitter Cash Only Please for the 1:53.4 triumph. Windsun Twister finished a quarter-length behind in third.
Misty Moonshine paid $11.90 to win as the 9-2 third choice in the field. The four-year-old daughter of Astreos-Access Hollywood, owned by Donald and Heather McGregor of Camlachie, Ont., collected her sixth win in 20 seasonal starts and 12th lifetime. She has earned $38,865 of her $221,305 bankroll this year.
