Driver Tyler Borth won six races for the second time this year on the 11-race program at Dresden Raceway on Sunday, July 29.

Borth visited the winner’s circle with Sign Of Art, Burst Hanover, Team Leader, Kelly Rae, Gorgiouseverytyme and Dali Cat.

Borth is the leading dash driver at Dresden Raceway with 33 wins after nine race cards. Though one of the few races that Borth didn’t win was The Little Green Jug as Little Quick took home the hardware from the working man’s version of the Little Brown Jug.

Gd Cruise For Gold blasted off the gate to take the lead in the "Jug" with Go Mud in the two hole. As the field turned to the backstretch towards three-quarters, Little Quick was a half-length back sitting second on the outside when Go Mud pulled to the inside of the pylons. Go Mud was inside the pylons for three eighths of a mile and finished first but was placed eighth for the pylon violations.

Little Quick was owned by Dave Deighton of Chatham and trained by Mike Carther but was claimed by Jack Harris of Haggersville.

Dresden Raceway celebrated the life of former horseman Ted McFadden with the Ted McFadden Memorial Pace. McFadden’s family was on hand to honour the third generation horseman who died in March of 2017. Ambers Shadow won the event in 2:01.3 for driver Garrett Rooney. The three-year-old Shadow Play filly is owned and trained by Mike Rogers while Rob Watson and Kevin Morin are co-owners.

Caretakers were also honoured today for the important work they do at the track on a daily basis. Every winning caretaker received a gift as well as several draws that were held for all other grooms.

The handle was $32,145 which puts the 2018 total handle up over $31,000 in comparison to the same days of last year’s total handle.
