HLN anchor Robin Meade will perform the national anthem to kick-off festivities Saturday for the annual Adios Day Celebration at The Meadows Racetrack and Casino.
Meade is the host of HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade” and anchored the network’s coverage of combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as the January 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama.
Meade is also the face of HLN’s “Salute to Troops” segment, a daily message to U.S. troops using the photos and videos sent in by their loved ones. HLN is a part of the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., which includes CNN, TBS and TNT.
The Adios annual extravaganza culminates with the $500,000 Delvin Miller Adios Final on Saturday. During the festive week, the track will offer a compelling variety of fan giveaways, food and beverage specials, and kids’ activities to complement a full schedule of Grand Circuit harness racing. For the first time in the history of the event, two radio stations, ESPN and WJPA, will provide live coverage of the Adios final. Post time for the first race is 12:55 p.m.
