A pair of even money favourites prevailed in Thursday afternoon’s co-featured races at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Bruce Aldrich, Jr. went 3-for-3 to start the program and completed his hat trick with Elusive Action (Conway Hall) as the John Grasso trainee scored first-over in the $9,300 co-feature for New York Sired trotters.
Elusive Action prevailed in his return to town after a more than month long stint at Yonkers. As the race’s even money favourite, Elusive Action stopped the timer in 2:00 to record his third win of the year.
Love Crazy Love (Crazed) also made her return to ‘the Spa’ a winning one as she went coast-to-coast with Frank Coppola, Jr. in the sulky. The Gates Brunet-trained filly was the even money favourite in her division of the $9,300 co-feature and stopped the timer in 1:58.4.
Live racing continues on Friday night at Saratoga with a 7:05 p.m. first post. Saturday night is the $260,000 Joe Gerrity, Jr. Memorial Pace with Wiggle It Jiggleit coming to town to compete for the first time. Saturday’s first post is also set for 7:05 p.m.
