Dusty Lane Oscar continued his seasonal dominance over the top pacers in New Brunswick on Saturday afternoon at Exhibition Park Raceway.
Saint John's Chris Davies owns, trains and drives the nine-year-old Pans To Reason gelding.
The ninth race on the card turned out to be the thriller of the day with the first four finishers only separated by one length. The time of the mile was 1:59.1. Dusty Lane Oscar journeyed first over to win by a neck over Manraysonjo with Dance Hanover half a length behind and Magical Alex finishing fourth.
The victory was Dusty Lane Oscar's seventh in nine starts this year and leaves him just one shy of the 50-win mark lifetime.
