Ten three-year-old pacing fillies will face off in this year's $11,400 Lady Crocus Stakes, sponsored by Standardbred Canada and the Manitoba Standardbred Sires & Breeders Association (MSSBA), at Glenboro Fair in Manitoba on Saturday, July 20

The stakes event, which is for sophomore fillies that are Canadian-sired or Canadian-owned, will be split into two $5,700 divisions in races three and five.

In spite of being the longest shot on the board at 7-1 in the opening division and winless in seven starts, Heartland Tango will try to follow in her older sisters' hoofprints as Lady Crocus Stakes winners. With the luck of the draw on her side, the Solid Ice-Hah filly will leave from the inside post position with Louis Fillion driving for trainer Marc Fillion and owner W. Allan Drader of Brookdale, MB. Heartland Tango is a full-sister to 2009 champion Heartland Icicle and half-sibling to Heartland Friendha, who won in 2010 for Fillion and the Draders.

Fillion also sends out maiden Alcars May Spree, who will leave from the outside post at 4-1 in the second split.

Horseman Roland Rey will look for a Lady Crocus repeat after driving Logicallyinclined to a victory in last year's event. He sends out three trainees on Saturday, including the 2-1 favourite in the second split, post three starter Throw The Bouquet, who is looking for her second win after breaking her maiden in winning fashion two starts ago. He also has the inside post with 5-1 Shes A Princess, who will be looking for her first career win. Fresh off a victory in last weekend's Silk Lace leg, For The Roses will leave from post four in the opening division, also for Rey.

Mixed Blessings is the favourite in the first division for trainer/driver Kirk Rogers and co-owner Nicole Fontaine. The 3-1 choice, who is two-for-four heading into Saturday's assignment, has drawn post three.

Dean Rey, who also captured a 2012 division of the Lady Crocus with Dashin On By, will also be looking to double up with 5-1 Make Your Mark, who broke her maiden in her career-debut two starts ago, leaving from post two in the first division.

First race post time in 5 p.m.
