A pair of Tony Alagna trotting fillies and Erv Miller pacing colts highlighted another Saturday qualifying session at the Meadowlands Racetrack featuring two-year-olds as the main course

A pocket trip worked out perfectly for Tawesome More and Yannick Gingras in the fastest trotting qualifier of the day. Making her first qualifying start, the Muscles Yankee-Toss Up filly unleashed a :28-second final frame to win in 1:59.1 by nearly three lengths. Pacesetter Sashay (Mike Lachance) and first over Wiggs (Andy Miller) finished back in second and third after making breaks in the stretch. Tony Alagna trains the $60,000 Harrisburg yearling for Bloodstock Farm And Stable of Saddle River, New Jersey.

Making her second qualifying start for Alagna, Montage and driver Andy Miller followed cover three-wide at the third quarter mark and sprinted home in :28.3 to win in 2:00.1 by half a length. The Yankee Glide-Armbro Camelot filly was an $80,000 yearling purchase from the Harrisburg sale by Brenda K. Selwyn Waxman and Isaac Waxman of Dundas, ON.

Erv Miller pupils Ideal Joe and On The Radar tied for the fastest time of the pacers, winning in 1:55.4.

With David Miller in the bike, Ideal Joe journeyed first up from fourth past the half and used a :27.3 final quarter to hold off Bombay Away (Sam Caruso) by three-quarters of a length. The gelded son of Western Ideal-Armbro Nectarine was making his second qualifying start for owner-breeder D. R. Van Witzenburg of Crest Hill, Illinois. He is a full brother to Ideal Danny ($275,284), Ideal Nectarine ($400,010) and Enhance The Night ($566,272), and a half brother to Camluck son Tommys Luck ($276,409).

On The Radar and Gingras advanced from third and wore down pacesetter No Surrenders (Dave Miller) to win by a length. Owned and bred by Brittany Farms of Versailles, Kentucky, the Western Hanover-Arts Reality colt was making his third qualifying start after being scratched from at maiden race a Meadowlands on July 8. On The Radar is a full brother to Western Guy ($701,811).

Freshmen trotting colts Martino (Andover Hall-Blur) in 2:01.2 and Whatever It Takes (Credit Winner-Caper Caillie) in 2:00.2 were also winners during the 14-race qualifying session along with pacing filly Cheyenne Ina (Art Major-Cheyenne Sabrina) in 1:58.3.
