Trainer Darren McCall nabbed his first victory since returning to his native land of Australia on Tuesday at Albion Park, and he did so with a graduate of the OSS program

Ice Ice Baby, a four-year-old daughter of Modern Art-Black Ice who banked in excess of $215,000 during her two-year career in Ontario, went wire-to-wire in the Coca Cola Pace – a 1660m event – in a time of 1:57.1.
“That was good to get that victory on the board, even more so with this mare,” McCall told Australian harness racing website Mobile Rolling.
Ice Ice Baby was the only horse the McCalls shipped back to Australia with them when they departed Canada last fall.
“We bought this mare at the yearling sales and raced her ourselves up in Canada and she owes us nothing after winning in excess of $200,000. We believe she will become a foundation broodmare for us in time to come,” added McCall, who shares ownership on the pacer with his wife, Karina. “We gave her two trials to prep her for that race and she won well, she became really fat with that long break away from the track but we believe there is still a lot of improvement to follow.”
