Mark Beckwith swept the co-features on Thursday’s card en route to a driving grand slam at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
The veteran reinsman piloted Prince C Hall (Cash Hall) and Fast N Loud (Conway Hall) to mild upsets in the co-featured $9,300 trotting races for New York Sired trotters.
The Amy Dowd-trained Prince C Hall overcame post position eight to secure the upset at odds of 7-1 as he got up in the final strides to win in 2:00.1.
Fast N Loud also needed every yard of the mile distance to secure his victory in 2:00.1. Fast N Loud, who is trained by Melissa Beckwith, reeled in rival Reasinforpleasin (Frank Coppola, Jr.) in the final strides of his division of the co-features to score at odds of 6-1.
Beckwith, who entered the card second in the local driving standings in 2016, had his best day of the season piloting four winners.
