Schenn Named Pepsi NA Cup Drawmaster

The Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced that Toronto Maple Leafs' defenseman Luke Schenn will be the special celebrity drawmaster for this year’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup Post Position Draw

The post position draw will take place at Mohawk Racetrack in Campbellville, Ont. on Tuesday, June 14 and will begin at 12:00 noon.

The NA Cup, the continent's most lucrative event for three-year-old pacers, will take place Saturday, June 18 at Mohawk. The Cup eliminations will take place Saturday, June 11 (to view the results of the draw, click here).

Schenn, who is a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, began his junior hockey career with the Kelowna Rockets in the 2005-2006 season and won a gold medal in the 2008 World Junior Tournament.

Schenn was then drafted in the first round, fifth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008 entry draft. The 21-year-old is coming off the best season of his young career, which saw him score five goals and tally 18 assists in 82 games.
