Jody Jamieson was without a doubt the star of Woodstock Raceway’s 12-race program on Saturday afternoon as he engineered five winning trips over the half-mile oval
.
Jamieson’s first win didn’t come until the fifth race aboard the Joey Ayotte pupil Mr Velocity (1:58), but once he tasted victory Canada’s leading reinsman kept on rolling.
Jamieson dominated the second half of the program with wins aboard Missile T (2:00.4) for trainer/owner Harry Poulton in Race 7, Luke Busy (1:56.4) for Daniel Neil in Race 9, Twiddles (1:59) for Murray Cope in the 11th and Jersey Guy (1:58.2) for Joe Pereira in the final 12th race.
The resident of Cambridge, Ont. has won 335 races this year earning over $3.5 million in purses. Jamieson’s five-bagger bumped his all-time win total to 4,611 good for over $57.9 million in earnings. He is currently the nation’s leading driver for wins and money earned and ranks second for wins in North America.
