Woodward Notches First Training Win

Jacie Woodward notched her first win as a trainer in the first race of the Sunday (June 4) card at Georgian Downs.

The win came from a 10-1 upset by Jacieslittleman, a five-year-old gelding by Dali. Driver Travis Cullen sat off the speed with him and catapulted from third over to the final turn to seize the lead late in the stretch by three-quarter lengths and stopped the clock in 1:59.2. He paid $23.30 to win in the upset.

Woodward, a resident of Peterborough, Ont., has sent 45 starters through her career which started in early December of 2022. From 45 tries, she has hit the board 11 times and has earned $22,089 in purses.
