Coleman Filly Fastest In NYSS

Sunday afternoon racing kicked off at Buffalo Raceway yesterday with three divisions of New York Sire Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies.

Eighthunrdolarbill, Major Look, and Another Hanover each took their respective divisions.

In the closest race of the day, Art Major filly Another Hanover won by a neck over Marianade Hanover and Zellweger Bluechip, who finished in a dead heat for place. All three fillies had the lead at one point, with Another Hanover getting up as they crossed the line.

Major Look made it two for two in NYSS action in the young season. Having gone off as the heavy favourite, driver Jeff Gregory brushed off an early push from Stage it Right and put the Art Major filly on cruise control over the 'sloppy' track.

The fastest mile belonged to the Casie Coleman-trained Eighthunrdolarbill, who was clocked in 1:56.4. Driver Scott Zeron got a perfect trip behind eventual third-place finisher Ramalama before pulling away down the stretch to win by more than eight lengths.
