Belleville Agricultural Society president Doug Rollins has been quoted as saying that he believes that work on the new Quinte Exhibition and Raceway could be starting this
August.
"I think it's coming," Rollins was quoted as saying in an article today by The Intelligencer. "I'm kind of hoping we should be starting by mid-August," Rollins said. "It's slowly coming together and we've got a new person in the mix who's taken the bull by the horns and making it work."
In the article, Rollins sings the praises of the "progressive" new partner in the track initiative, Macallan Equity, and its owner, Joel Ross, who has previously been lauded by Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis for pushing ahead with the project.
"I'm 99.9 per cent sure this guy's going to make it happen," Rollins was quoted as saying.
