Just A Jolt reset his own track record for four-year-old pacing geldings Monday with a 1:50 triumph, establishing a new national season’s mark for four-year-old pacers on a half-mile racetrack.

In the $17,000 Open Pace at Harrington Raceway, Just A Jolt was sent for the lead from post position seven. The Village Jolt gelding made the lead in :26.3 for driver Victory Kirby before cruising to the half-mile in 55 and three-quarters in 1:22.3. Just A Jolt kept pocket-sitting Getitoffyourchest at bay for a one-length score. Rock On Moe was third.

It was the 11th win of the year for Just A Jolt, who padded his seasonal earnings to more than $124,000 for owner John Dayton. He paid $6.00 for the win.

Driver Jon Roberts had three wins on the program. George Dennis, Allan Davis and Ross Wolfenden each had a double.
