Hanover Raceway's 2026 harness racing meet begins this Saturday, June 6 and runs through Sept. 12.

Live harness racing will take place every Saturday for the duration of the meet, with the exception of Aug. 8 when the annual Hanover Fair will take place. Post time will be 1:30 p.m. for most race days, with a 5:30 p.m. post time for the Aug. 1 program.

The Civic Holiday long weekend evening program will be one of the highlights of the meet, as Hanover Raceway will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its signature $50,000 Dream Of Glory Stakes for three-year-old Ontario-sired trotters and host its annual fireworks display after the races at 10:15 p.m. Another signature Hanover race, the $40,000 Balanced Image for two-year-old Ontario-sired trotters, will follow on Aug. 22.

Stakes action starts right out of the gate with the Hanover, Ont. half-mile oval hosting a leg of the Prospect Series for Ontario-sired three-year-old colt pacers on Opening Day. In addition to multiple Prospect Series events, Hanover will host two legs of the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Series for three-year-old filly trotters on July 11 and two-year-old filly trotters on Sept. 5.

Hanover Raceway has community events planned for each race day, including an Open House & Drivers Homecoming event on June 20, Harness The Hope Day on July 11 and National Caretakers Appreciation Day to close out the season.
