On Wednesday, June 3, the Nova Scotia Harness Racing Industry Association announced that Robyn Crowe has been named the new executive director of the organization, effective immediately.
The NSHRIA is a non-profit organization that brings together representatives of the Nova Scotia harness racing community to advance and promote the industry of harness racing within the province.
Recently, the NSHRIA undertook a search for a new executive director. The association received applications from a strong pool of interested candidates, and, following recent interviews, the association is happy to announce that Robyn Crowe, a resident of Lower Onslow, will commence in the role of executive director, effective immediately.
Under direction of and in partnership with, the Board of Directors of the NSHRIA, Crowe will be responsible for the day-to-day activities, including promoting and advocating for harness racing within the province.
Crowe holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University, and has extensive background in inter-governmental relations, valuable skills in management, analysis, proposal writing and reporting.
Crowe comes from a harness racing background, including being an active volunteer with the Truro Harness Horse Owners Association, and has a full understanding of all dynamics of the industry.
The directors of the NSHRIA are looking forward to working with Crowe to collaboratively advance the harness racing industry within Nova Scotia.
