Meadowlands invaders fared well in tonight’s opening leg of the Town Pro Series for three-year-old filly pacers at Mohawk Racetrack, winning two of the three $20,000 divisions over a rain-soaked oval that was rated as good

Local filly Apricot Brandy used a strong stretch rally to score from off-the-pace for driver Chris Christoforou in 1:55 in the first division. The daughter of Real Desire - Armbro Apricot turned back a hard-closing Tedeschi with Have A Cigar claiming the show spot.
It was the third win in 11 outings this season for the Blair Burgess trainee who is owned by father Robert Burgess and wife Karin Olsson Burgess.
Personal Ad, shipping in from The Meadowlands, used similar tactics to haul down the second division in 1:54 as the race favourite. The daughter of Artiscape - Looknforagirllikeu just nipped the pacesetting Euphoria Seelster with Champale Blue Chip rounding out the top three.
The win was a maiden-breaking score for Personal Ad who is trained while in Canada by Darren McCall for the Mentally Stable of Delray Beach, Florida.
In the final division, race favourite and fellow Meadowlands shipper Jersey Dream used a different approach and wired the field for driver Paul MacDonell in 1:54.1. The daughter of Artiscape - Ms Avondale held off the pocket-sitting My Red High Heels with Fashion Week well back in third.
Jersey Dream, who races under the care of Rene Laarman while in Canada, is now 4-for-11 this season for owner Frank Bellino of Bronxville, New York. The win boosted her seasonal earnings to more than $100,000.
The second leg of the Town Pro Pacing Series will go postward next Monday night at Mohawk.
