Pablo Angus Earns 50th Career Win

Thirteen-year-old trotter Pablo Angus notched his 50th career win during Saturday afternoon's Quebec fair circuit harness racing program at Ferme Drummond in St. Hugues.

Driven by Mario Charron, Pablo Angus won the afternoon's 10th race setting a new track record for aged trotting geldings of 2:01. He was eight lengths the best with Shark Drummond finishing second and Rageur Normand third.

The Fortuna Winner-Heliante Angus gelding is trained by Eric Gnocchini and owned by Mario Bourgea of Stanbridge East, Que.

The veteran trotter has earned $812,258 in 215 career starts.

Trotting records were also set by two-year-old colt Panamas Boy (2:06.3), driven by Stephane Brosseau and trained by Jacques Dupont, and three-year-old filly Tia Maria Seelster (2:05), driven and trained by Claude Beausoleil.

Four-year-old pacing gelding Brussebeach closed out the card winning the 1-1/2-mile leg of Le 5 Milles prep series in 3:02 with for driver Louis Philippe Roy and trainer/co-owner Dr. John Bradbury.
