The latest episode of "The Michigan Mighty" will air on Harness Racing Symposium 101 on Facebook and will be cross-posted on the Northville Downs’ Facebook page at 7 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday (June 29).
"The Michigan Mighty" is the newest show that covers all things happening in harness racing in the state of Michigan with an emphasis on Northville Downs. Hosted by track announcer Ken Terpenning, featuring interviews with horsemen and women and key track personnel as well as racing recaps from the previous week are usually on the agenda.
This week’s episode will feature an interview with driver-trainer-owner Justin Irvine. Irvine, just 21 years of age, is the latest of the harness racing deep family that includes his father Don Irvine Jr., who is closing in on the $40 million purse earnings mark in his stellar career.
Racing at Northville Downs continues this Friday and Saturday with a first-race post time of 7 p.m. Friday features the ever-popular ‘dollar night’ at The Ville with one dollar popcorn, live race programs, pop and win bets, as well as two dollar hot dogs, beer and hamburger and cheeseburger specials being offered to fans in attendance on-track.
