The first afternoon card at Sarnia's Hiawatha Horse Park was marred by a 'no contest' in the fifth race after a miscue caused one of the horses to fall after the start of the event.

According to the AGCO judges, Lil Memories (Greg Drew) made a break in stride and fell just after the race began. The track's warning lights and siren were activated and all of the horses pulled up. The race was declared a no contest by the judges.

Lil Memories was examined by the AGCO veterinarian and escaped the incident without serious injury. Drew also reported he was in decent shape, and no one else was involved in the fall.
