Real Wicked paced his back half in :58.1 for Natasha Day to claim the Preferred 3 at Dresden Raceway on Sunday afternoon (June 26).
The eight-year-old Big Bad John gelding got away seventh but Day made a sweeping three-wide move down the backstretch to get the win in 1:57.1.
"He was grabbing the bit pretty good down the back stretch so I was pretty confident I had enough horse to get there," said Day. "I followed Razor [Scott Wray] to the head of the lane and when I pulled out I had lots."
Real Wicked scored his 30th win and is owned by Kyle Strejch and trained by Shawn Hyatt.
R Bazinga won his third in a row at Dresden Raceway as the seven-year-old Real Artiist gelding cruised to a two-length win 1:57.2 for driver Garrett Rooney.
R Bazinga was the second win of the day for owner-trainer Darrell Vleeming and the fourth win of the day for Dresden's leading dash driver, Rooney.
Rob Doyle picked off a milestone today at Dresden Raceway picking up his 100th driving win.
The handle today at Dresden was $39,176.

Trot Insider received the following comment from Dr. Bernd Kretzschmar.
"I wanted to thank all the horsemen especially in Barn 3 at Dresden Raceway volunteering to help me find my hearing aid that was lost. I know I 'm not the most popular showing up at your horses stall, but it was great to see people looking for this small item. The good news it has been found."
