Seven Straight Wins For Audreys Dream

Prior to Sunday's Western Regional Driving Championship at Century Downs, Open pacer Audreys Dream extended his win streak to seven for the training and driving duo of Ashleigh and Ed Hensley.

In the second-race $10,500 Open Handicap, outside assignee Audreys Dream followed in third through panels of :27.3, :55.2 and 1:24.2 before Ed Hensley fanned the Rocknroll Hanover-Belovedangel gelding three-wide after Get Thereovernight pulled the pocket on leader Sterling Cooper. Audreys Dream swept by those rivals and held off Nobettorplacetobe, who rallied off his cover into the win photo. Audreys Dream prevailed in 1:54 flat by a quarter-length.

Audreys Dream paid $4.70 to win as the 6-5 favourite. He is now seven-for-11 this year and has banked over $45,000 in purses. Lifetime, the eight-year-old pacer has won 31 races and sits just shy of the $400,000 earnings mark.

The Hensley stable won both of the non-Regional races on the Saturday card, also winning the opener with Lifeimitatestart ($6.70) in a matching mile time of 1:54.
