Mistress Valentine hustled from post eight for an early seat, then made the decisive first-over move en route to victory in Wednesday’s $16,500 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Mistress Valentine was sitting fourth when Mike Wilder tipped her off the cones. The five-year-old daughter of Master Glide-Patsys Valentine gobbled up the leader, Vixy, and rolled to a facile win in 1:55.2 on a “good” surface. Trotslikethewind finished second, 3-1/4 lengths back, with Magic Will Work third.

Tyler Stillings trains Mistress Valentine, who boosted her career bankroll to $153,409, and owns with Rags To Riches of PA.

Dave Palone drove four winners and Wilder three on the 15-race card.
