Its Handsome Hank used a three-wide move down the backstretch to catch the leaders and win the Wendell Noye Memorial Wednesday night
at Red Shores Summerside.
Driver Brian MacPhee engineered the 2:01.2 winning trip for trainer Greg MacInnis, who co-owns with his wife Arlene. The win was Its Handsome Hank's first of the 2011 campaign in 12 starts. Travolta was second while Big Oster finished third.
Island Jazzy Star, with Gary Chappell, and Benny Rabbit, driven by Marc Campbell, hit the finish together in a dead-heat for win in 1:57.1 in Race 10, clocking what could be the fastest dead-heat mile in history at Summerside.
Louie Fernandez wired the field in the card's feature event in 1:59.3 for owners Wendell and Robbie Shaw of Summerside. Kenny Arsenault was in the bike to record his third win of the night. Victory Creed second with Blue Meadow Willie capturing third.
Racing returns to Red Shores Charlottetown Thursday at 7 p.m. The Erwin Andrew Memorial eliminations will highlight the Saturday card. Post time is 6 p.m.
